Baby Rocking Cribs and Baby Sleeping Bags?
My sister has bought one of those wooden rocking cribs. It’s standard size from Mothercare.
She wants to know if it’s OK for her baby to sleep in that crib when he/she is in a baby sleeping bag/gro bag?
This is cos the baby will be sleeping in one until he/she is approx 6 mths. Then will be moving to cot.
Is the crib going to be too small for the sleeping bag?
My baby sleeps in a rocking crib with a sleeping bag, they are absolutly fine!!
The Rocking cribs are actually a good size with them being bigger than moses baskets!

I think the bags are best when they are over 2 months…otherwise it is fine…you just have to watch that they dont overheat.

i wouldnt put a newborn in a sleeping bag i would wait at least 2kws as they could wriggle under it etc.
I swaddled both my children and they settled fine all you need for that is a blanket which you’ll already have anyway

I wouldn’t use the sleeping bag. It would be dangerous while the baby is sleeping. It could turn or roll over somehow and we don’t want him to get hurt! Plus, you should never put anything bulky in a crib/bassenet while the baby is sleeping.

If the crib is bigger than a Moses Basket it should be fine. If not you might find that it turns up at the end a little bit.

I dont think ur suppose to use gro bags until the baby is a certain weight, I dont think it has anything to do with where baby sleeps though so I would check the label and see what it says.

no sleeping bags are fine in cribs, we had the same crib from mothercare and the sleeping bags were fine ( after 2-3 weeks of swaddling) , in fact they are the best invention ever !!!!
