What is the best book on baby care to buy?

I’m looking for a book that explains everything- from how to bathe a baby to colic to developmental stages besides the book "what to expect during the first year." Can anyone give me any suggestions?
Thank You!!!

Well that’s hard to say. See if you are pro-crazy and pro-doctor for everything then you will like what to expect (maybe). There are also a lot of other rush to the doctor immediately books.

Then there are books like:
* "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Your Child’s Vaccinations" Stephanie Cave
*How to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor
by Robert S. Md Mendelsohn (Author)

Then there are more middle of the road books, not anti-doctor, not anti natural cures, but more balanced like:
*Any of the Dr Sears Books

*Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child
by Janet Zand (Author), et al.

Hmm I’d list more but I can’t find my wish list online hahaha

My mother bought me The Good Housekeeping Illustrated Book of Pregnancy & Baby Care over 9 years ago and I love it; refer to it often. I see there is a newer one out now.

The Mayo Clinic puts out a pretty good book. What do you need a book for, you usually make it up as you go along and if you have a question, you call your mom, doctor, or friend anyway. Most books have a fairly good how to on the stuff like bathing, ask your doctor. I liked the "What to Expect" books, they are a little fanatical about nutrition but funny and a good realiy check when you need it.

It’s called the baby’s owner’s manual, great book, it’ll help you with everything!! Also, you can buy the toddler’s owner’s manual it that’s great help when the baby becomes 13 months. It’s a real book, I have both of them. It’s 14.95, but worth every penny

I found that "The Baby Book" by Dr. Sears was the most helpful. After reading a ton of books, I also realized that the best baby advice that I got was from a friend of mine who said "trust your intuition"!
