Schwinn Free Wheeler Jogging Stroller

May 15th, 2012

I got a particular stroller about four months ago and I have to say I absolutely love it! Before, we actually had a double Schwinn, and because I only have one stroller-worthy child at the moment, I determined that we should downgrade to a single jogger. There are a lot of brands on the market, as you well know, some of which are more suited to the job than others, and I tried out as many as I could so long as they were in the same price bracket. In the end, I went back to Schwinn, and I found that I absolutely loved it…again. When I push it, I find that it is light, easy to use, and I can barely feel the weight of my daughter in it. Along with all that, it actually has a swivel when in front that makes it incredibly easy to pull the stroller backward. The fabric itself is stain resistant, and I found that it can be cleaned rather nicely with just a damp cloth.

Mia Moda Cielo Evolution Compact Stroller

May 8th, 2012

We bought this stroller (well, an earlier version) for a trip to visit family, but we wound up using it all the time.  It folds easily into the size of a big briefcase.  Its integrated handle makes it very portable and if you’re carrying several things it’s much easier to carry than an umbrella stroller.  It fits into the carry-on bins of all the airplanes I’ve flown on, although I’m not sure it would fit into every airplane’s.

Our first one lasted two years, but we let our son climb all over it way too often, and it was too much for it.  That one’s wheels would stick and not turn freely, but Mia Moda’s customer service was great and they sent us replacement wheels - no questions asked.

Britax Chaperone Stroller

May 1st, 2012

I really hit the jackpot when I got this stroller, and I really love it.  I will confess to never owning a travel system before, so maybe just having one at all is what makes this one so appealing, but I still love it.  I don’t have any complaints and it looks like it’s made well and everything is well thought-out.  The stroller is full size and looks like it’s about the same size as the Inglesina Zippy I used to have and also loved.  And I adore its Cowmooflage fabric!

The stroller’s articulating handle is great for me because I’m tall.  Normally, I’d have to kick the back of the strollers I’ve used before (even those made for tall people) but I don’t need to do that with the Chaperone and I’m able to walk behind it just fine.  YEAH!!

Joovy Zoom 360 Stroller

April 24th, 2012

If you’re looking for a jogging stroller then the Joovy Zoom is a great choice. I’ve had for a little over a month and it’s been great. It’s very easy to move around, and you don’t have to worry about taking the tires off. When I went out and purchased it the goal was simply to make sure it gave my son a smoother ride. However, I ended up realizing that it was a big help to me as well. You will find that it’s easy to steer, offers a zippered pouch, and comes with a locked setup when folded. They tell you to make sure this is done before lifting it or the end result could be an injury. I had it happen to me and when it opened up it pinched the skin under my arm. It was so forceful that it bled. So READ THE DIRECTIONS! Otherwise I definitely recommend it.

Kolcraft Contours Options 3 Wheeler Stroller

April 17th, 2012

Today we decided to upgrade and get a new stroller as opposed to the old hand-me-down we used to own.

Our first impression is that it’s extremely big. Even when you fold it down, the Kolcraft Contours Options 3 is still pretty large. It’s also very smooth when strolling through the neighborhood. So my son enjoys the ride, which makes our walks much more enjoyable.

The wheel base is long so it offers a wider turning radius. I’m pretty sure it tickled my 13-month old’s belly the first time around. Why? Well, he seemed a bit frightened, but eventually he really started enjoying it. Since we’re a bit taller than the average parent it’s nice to see that it comes with a great height. I will never have to hunch over to push a stroller ever again.

BOB Ironman Sport Utility Stroller

April 10th, 2012

Since my wife and I are both avid runner we needed something that was even to maneuver our one year old daughter. It also had to be an extremely safe and comfortable ride, which is why we got the BOB Ironman stroller. We’ve had this thing on the blacktop, through grassy parks, and even on gravel. It has these huge tires and shocks that keep it a smooth ride for the wee-one. A couple weeks ago my wife took her to a blueberry picking farm and she said it still glided through the bumpy and sandy soil. This has definitely replaced our other stroller system, especially for trips to the grocery store. If the fabric gets dirty you can wipe it off and the storage area has a nice size to it. There are also compartments by the handlebar. We use them to put our cell phones and car keys in them, as well as a couple water bottles.

InStep Safari Swivel Double Jogging Stroller

April 3rd, 2012

I’ve had the InStep Safari for over two years and it’s just as good as the first day I bought it. I have two children (3 1/2 and 2) and both of them fit perfectly in it. I should probably have a single stroller and make my 3-year old walk, but they’re much more controllable in this double stroller. The only problem in 2 years is that the material has fallen apart, but this was due to my daughter pushing it with her feet to get in and out. However, I don’t expect it to look brand new. It works just the same anyways. Every 3 months I need to inflate the tires as well or it will get harder to push. When they’re inflated it glides through the park or anywhere else I go.

BOB Revolution Stroller

March 27th, 2012

One of the reasons we purchased the BOB Revolution Stroller is because we live on a dirt road. We love taking walks in the park and on trails, so something with bigger wheels is a necessity.

Now that we’ve had time to enjoy it we couldn’t be happier. It’s very smooth thanks to the air filled tubeless tires and rear shock absorber. It turns on a dime and seems to glide on hard surfaces, grass, and even sand or rocky paths. Plus, since the tires are made of rubber it doesn’t make a sound on the hard surfaces.

Peg Perego Switch Travel System

March 20th, 2012

I wanted a stroller that could be used for a newborn baby and then adjusted to fit a toddler.  I got this system, and it does the job.  On top of being adjustable, you can switch it so your baby faces toward you or faces outwards, which is something not many strollers can do.  I like my baby facing me when I’m pushing the stroller.

The seat is perfect for a newborn because it can recline to a full bassinet style.  You can also completely detach the seat from the stroller.  I don’t have any complaints about pushing it either, it’s easy and the wheels glide smoothly.

Graco Stylus Travel System 22

March 13th, 2012

I purchased this stroller for my daughter and new grandbaby.  Not only was it delivered really fast, the delivery was free!  The only thing I had to do to assemble it was add the cup holder and put the wheels on the stroller.  It’s also very cute, and its cheerful colors contrast nicely with the black.  It looks really expensive, but it was actually one of the less expensive travel systems I saw.  You can collapse the stroller even if your hands are full because of its one handle release mechanism.  It stands upright quite nicely when it’s folded.  Its cup holders are deep enough to let you put a drink inside and not have to worry about it tipping over if you’re walking through a bumpy area.
