1. I just love the design and color of this car seat, and I find it quite gender neutral. It would work just as
well for a boy or a girl. It definitely works for my daughter. The price of the carseat is fab as well. The base
for the carseat is also included, which I was very happy about. I honestly thought I would have to purchase it
separately. The adjuster for the straps is nice and accessible, and the seat doesn't have to be flipped over to
tighten or loosen the straps. You can do this with baby in the carseat just by loosening or pulling the strap by
your baby's feet. One complaint would be the visor. It's quite difficult to pull down or up.
This seat also snaps into my Jeep Liberty stroller.
2. I did some serious research on car seats and decided on one with a weight limit that was higher. This would
allow us to leave our baby rearfacing for longer as a safety precaution, and to use the handy snap-in and snap-out
feature which is perfect for a sleeping baby.
This car seat is lovely. It looks well made and the fabric also feels nice and looks like it would be easy to
wipe up any messes as well as to wash. The blue and teal color is a little on the bright side. The latch system
makes it easy to install, even though the connectors are not the newer lot found on other seats. The belts, flaps
and handles all move quite easily, and also look well made. The seat snaps out of and into the base quite
easily.
We find this seat quite long, though. We own a 2011 VW Sportwagon, which is certainly not a compact vehicle. We
were able to install the carseat without any problems, but unfortunately we could not ride comfortably while in our
front seats when the seat was in back.
Unfortunately, there are not many stores around our area where we can view different car seats. I therefore
registered on this site unseen. I am sure this car seat would work better in a bigger vehicle. If you are looking
to buy a carseat for an infant, then I recommend that you visit a store which allows a potential buyer to test the
carseat in their own vehicle before they buy. We finally went to the nearest BabiesRus to snap some in our vehicle
and come to a decision about what would work well for us.
3. I used to have a Graco Snugride that actually rated horribly. My son fits snugly in this carseat and seems
happy in it. This carseat is narrower than the Graco was, and his head doesn't slump sideways when he falls asleep.
The handle is quite comfortable for lifting in as well as out and also for carrying. The carseat and the base
installed without any problems. He definitely has more room in the length than other carseats around, which I like.
We also tried out the Onboard Air but found the seat a bit too narrow. The canopy, though, is a complete joke and I
only give this car seat 4 stars. You'll have to lug a blanket or two with you so as to shield baby from sun and
rain. If only Safety 1st could fix this problem then their car seat would be 5 stars. There are other top carseat
manufacturers like Combi, Peg Perego and others who have the same problem with their canopies.
