Reviews of the Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat
Real Reviews Submitted by Real Users!
1. We began looking around for a new carseat because our baby of 5 months was starting to feel confined in the
baby seat. Carrying him around was getting FAR too heavy! I had my eyes set on a Britax because of all the great
things I've heard about them, but like a lot of people have commented, they are unfortunately very expensive! I
worryingly thought that our son would still be too small for the bigger seat, but I thought I would try it anyway.
Our son can now see out of the window and loves it and easily falls asleep when we go out with him. He often cried
before when he was in our car, but is now quite content while in his seat and looks around. We are really happy
about switching to this carseat, and our son will be able to use it for many more years - up until he weighs 50
pounds!
2. The seat is really simple to adjust - a real plus with regards safety. Admittedly the seats are heavy, but I
don't lug it everywhere like with an infant seat. They will probably be a little bit bulky in the smaller cars. We
comfortably fit two seats in our van's back seat. I would absolutely recommend this car seat to anyone.
3. I own two cars so I have two car seats - one in each car - and am happy with both of them.
PROS:
Installation is easy; switching from rear-facing to forward-facing is simple.
Buckling your child properly into the carseat is easy, yet difficult for the child to unbuckle themselves.
You can loosen or tighten the restraints quite easily with only one hand.
The car seat seems to be sturdy and is protected on the sides as well.
Children of different sizes find the car seat very comfortable (about 17lbs-35lbs)even on a long car ride.
The cover/padding is simple to remove if you want to wash it.
Both seats can fit in my Jetta's backseat without any problems (forward-facing) as they are not too big.
CONS:
The chest buckle tends to slide up as well as down quite easily, with the result that my daughter slides the
buckle downwards and is able to get both arms out. A safety pin can be used underneath the buckle so that it won't
slide down by itself.
A rear facing seat takes up more room inside your vehicle.
I find this seat great value, safe, and comfortable.
4. I did lots of research before getting this carseat and I believe that we have made a good choice.
Installation is easy and I'm sure my son likes it. You should make sure of a good head support for your baby
though, as Evenflo's one does not work. I could not even fix it correctly as I couldn't even understand the
instructions. It definitely doesn't do its job in supporting your baby's head. Even Evenflo suggests using blankets
or towels.
I do like the car seat anyway, and compared to the Britax seats the difference in price is not worthy.
