1. I really think Baby Bjorn should send me a new bed or a check for free, because I endorse this crib so much!
Every time I hear of someone expecting a baby, I mention this crib to them, even if I don't know the people. Most
think that the only bed for travel is a pack and play but there are other options, and the only way I found out
about the Baby Bjorn myself was by doing tons of research. I hated using the pack and play with my first baby, but
this product wasn't out then. Pack and plays are so big and bulky and take forever to put up and take down (time
that I don't have, especially with a baby). Also, you have to carry the parts separately so if you happen to lose
one, no bed for the baby! The padding isn't that thick so it has to be uncomfortable to sleep in. The pack and play
I had was made in China, so it probably had lead in the paint and other hazardous materials in the plastic.
Now for all the benefits of owning a Baby Bjorn Travel Bed...it is constructed in Europe using BPA and Phlate
free materials. The cover is easy to remove and can be thrown in the washer when needed. It is so easy to set up,
and I can open the bed with one hand when needed (though it's not really recommended). It really unfolds
automatically so you don't have to do much. It probably only weighs 10 pounds, which seems like half the weight of
a pack and play. I just can't stress how much I love this bed. I wish I had one with my first baby....because it
has made parenthood much easier! I can't say that about many other products. The only negative is the price tag. I
am a penny pincher so I definitely splurged to get this bed and I am SO happy I did. It was easily worth every
penny I paid. Thanks to Baby Bjorn for making such a great travel bed. Be sure to go to their site and watch the
video that shows how the bed works!!
2. The Baby Bjorn Travel Crib is the perfect bed! It is very lightweight, and can be easily put up or taken
down. We can do both in less than 2 minutes. It comes with a handy bag, making it easy to carry in a car or plane.
We used a pack and play in the past, and they were not easy to carry or comfortable by any means. This is very
comfy and has a firm mattress (and it's not one you blow up). It is very sturdy and won't collapse into itself if
someone bumps it.
My three month old daughter slept great it in for 3 weeks. The mesh along the sides lets you see in and check on
the baby from your own bed.
It also looks very nice!
I can't really think of any negatives, except that it is a bit low (but most travel cribs are), so it's somewhat
difficult to comfort or pat your baby while they are laying inside it.
